The holiday home offers a hot tub. A terrace can be found at Citrus Cottage, along with a garden. The hosts Lindsey and Sandra provided the self contained cottage with everything - that means EVERYTHING! - that you could need. Even to the toothpicks, plunger and instant coffee, ample tea and so on. We were greeted with some cake, fruit bowl and Kit Kats on arrival - a lovely touch after the drive from Taupo. The location is at Taradale, a few minutes drive to the City, so it is a quiet location. There are two wineries (Church Road and Mission Estate) within a few minutes walking distance, though the supermarket may be a better bet to purchase from if you just want a couple of quaffers. The gardens around Citrus Cottage are beautiful with mature trees around and a driveway bordered with citrus trees. They provide privacy and quietness - you wouldn't realise that you are in suburban surroundings. We had a very warm welcome from the friendly hosts and their cat, and Lindsey gave us helpful details about the cottage facilities - which includes a spa bath, air conditioner, dehumidifier, and a range of cooking facilities.
